We eat in certain way, we walk in certain way, we think in certain way, in other words we have certain behavioral patterns and tendencies, all these we gather from outside world. As we age, we loose flexibility. Not only flexibility in the Body but in the Mind as well. We loose ability to multitask as well. We become slower. We establish our “very own” way of thinking and view of things. It is like grooves in the vinyl record, our mind and actual physical brain neural connections get deeply grooved. Same way of thinking day in day out. Have you noticed it, same though patterns… forever.
Our bodies become rigid and stiff and that manifests on many levels. Our ways of thinking, looking at the things , no different. I have observed even very young people have old minded, narrow-minded views to the world. Doesn’t matter what “book” you read, either about god or any other idea. It is one of the most heartbreaking observations I’ve encountered. Our upbringing, society, religion and many many other things we gather from the outside world, condition us in to what we call “Ourselves”.
We find ourselves as this concoction of thoughts, ideas, aspirations of various types, unaware of where it all comes from and how. We never question mechanisms and ownerships. We blame subconscious nature for all this trouble if even that.
As modern humans, we cannot sustain our concentration for long, especially if the subject is not pleasant. We try to set the goals, high goals, but mostly we cannot last for long in pursuit, because we run out of will power. We are unable to peak and use our full potential. We read books on success and self help, but at the end of the day it all boils down to just another beautiful unreachable idea. We try to get rich, but it also slips away, because we believe , in order to get rich we need money. As weekend comes, we ease in to couple of beers, or few glasses of “red one” and keep dreaming some more…
All these patterns are not “Your unique” problems. It all is “Mind” games. No matter how you look at it. We want to change that, but we don’t know how. As we age it all becomes harder and harder and one day we realize that we are powerless. We run in circles and there is no escape. Is it fair?
Yes, absolutely it is fair! We can believe in lightning as greek god Zeus, but you know how weather works aren’t you. You don’t have to believe once you KNOW.
Through the power of subconscious repetition, we get ourselves in to this mess. We don’t know how to change our thought patterns, yet emotions. We are locked in to this game (Leela) indefinitely. The game is endless and circle is complete. We can repeat this process for many lifetimes and it will keep on spinning.
Our desire is the most powerful thing. Through desire we find bondage or liberation. How to undo this ball of yarn?
Manas in Sanskrit means Mind, Jyoti is Light, Kriya is inner action. It is luminous mind kriya that is devised to change the patterns and get back your willpower.
Our brains have millions of neural pathways. These pathways are not only in the brain , but in the energy (pranic) body as well, as a matter of fact all 72000 pathways. The one who starts practicing this Kriya , with time can achieve miraculous results. In any kind of field. It is just Yogis, don’t want to waist time on worldly people. They don’t want these precious techniques to be used for money. For material.
So, these patterns, the pathways can be changed. In this, power to visualize is paramount. Through visualization we acquire power of concentration. Otherwise just concentration alone is very difficult, you may loose desire to practice, before results come. All Yoga needs these tricks, how else will youl excel. Astral travel , astral projection , I call it “all that crap” comes with this.
